Art from the Heart

This is the digital exhibition of artworks and message from children all over the world prepared by the Children's Advisory Team of Child Rights Connect. The goal is to support the discussion at the Annual Day on the Rights of the Child at the UN Human Rights Council about children in armed conflict by showing how children see the world, how conflict affects them, and what they want adults and decision makers to do to protect them.

Children’s voices matter. Their views matter. Even, and especially, in times of war. When children are listened to, peace becomes possible.

English Translation

Hello, we are Jiajun and Jonathan. Lately, we have learned about the grave situation you are going through in the Catatumbo region.

We have been researching information to familiarize ourselves with the situation you are experiencing. I know it can be difficult and stressful to go through all of this, but even though this situation may seem impossible to overcome, the most important thing in this life is not to lose hope, even if the situation is unbearable.

We trust that you can overcome this situation with great bravery and courage, and this situation will be able to become a thing of the past (history).

With appreciation,

Jiajun and Jonathan
