Art from the Heart

This is the digital exhibition of artworks and message from children all over the world prepared by the Children's Advisory Team of Child Rights Connect. The goal is to support the discussion at the Annual Day on the Rights of the Child at the UN Human Rights Council about children in armed conflict by showing how children see the world, how conflict affects them, and what they want adults and decision makers to do to protect them.

Children’s voices matter. Their views matter. Even, and especially, in times of war. When children are listened to, peace becomes possible.

Nosotras somos dos chicas que actualmente estamos acabando 4º ESO, en tu país sería décimo grado. ¿Vosotros qué curso hacéis actualmente?

Nos han informado en clase de vuestra situación en vuestro país y de lo mal que lo estáis pasando. Es un caso horrible que a nadie le gustaría que ocurriese y tener que pasar por todo eso demuestra que sois muy valientes y fuertes, por poder aguantar ese panorama. Nos gustaría poder ayudaros dándoos todo nuestro apoyo desde Blanes, animándoos con este pequeño mensaje para daros fuerzas.

Queremos que tengáis esperanza de que algún día todo esto acabará y podréis volver a estar tranquilos y tener la vida que teníais hace unos meses.

Esperamos que todo se solucione pronto, un fuerte abrazo desde España.

Good morning,

 We are two girls who are currently finishing 4th year of ESO; in your country, that would be tenth grade. What grade are you currently in?

We have been informed in class about the situation in your country and how badly you are suffering. It is a horrible case that no one would want to happen, and having to go through all that proves that you are very brave and strong to be able to endure that outlook. We would like to be able to help you by giving you all our support from Blanes, encouraging you with this small message to give you strength. We want you to have hope that one day all of this will end and you will be able to be peaceful again and have the life you had a few months ago.

We hope everything is resolved soon, a big hug from Spain.
