Art from the Heart

This is the digital exhibition of artworks and message from children all over the world prepared by the Children's Advisory Team of Child Rights Connect. The goal is to support the discussion at the Annual Day on the Rights of the Child at the UN Human Rights Council about children in armed conflict by showing how children see the world, how conflict affects them, and what they want adults and decision makers to do to protect them.

Children’s voices matter. Their views matter. Even, and especially, in times of war. When children are listened to, peace becomes possible.

English Translation

“The Gaza we want: the Gaza where the sun rises every day bringing new hope. Safe, just, and open to the future. Step by step, we protect it with hope and build it with knowledge. Safe for its children, generous to its people, beautiful and full of life and the laughter of hope. Come, people of Gaza, this is a big dream; it is our promise that this is the Gaza we want. Gaza is peace. The Gaza we want is a story of resilience that ends in success. We want a home! We want a school! We want a hospital! We want an airport! We want universities! We want life!”
