Art from the Heart

This is the digital exhibition of artworks and message from children all over the world prepared by the Children's Advisory Team of Child Rights Connect. The goal is to support the discussion at the Annual Day on the Rights of the Child at the UN Human Rights Council about children in armed conflict by showing how children see the world, how conflict affects them, and what they want adults and decision makers to do to protect them.

Children’s voices matter. Their views matter. Even, and especially, in times of war. When children are listened to, peace becomes possible.

English Translation

Oh, Oh my homeland

Like a bride, they adorned you

How beautiful are your houses!

Like palaces How beautiful is your fragrance!

Like musk Your centers exude hope

And determination how beautiful is my school!

Creative teachers working with all diligence

Without tire or boredom how beautiful it is when there is a knock at the door, and we say: “Is anyone there?”

Then we open the door with all happiness

To find my father with a bag in his hands

How beautiful are your streets!

Like shining stars and meteors

In my homeland, there are luxurious restaurants

Every step I take in it Is a ray of hope, not pain..

Oh my homeland
